NanoWriMo
Dude. NanoWriMo is totally kicking my BUTT this month. Whats that you say? What the heck is NanoWriMo? Its this totally awesome writing challenge to write 50,000 words of a story in only the month of November. Its insanity and yet I still wanna rock it. *sigh* Its day 19 and I am only at 5407 words :P yeah. 26,266 words and I'll be on goal for today. I am 26,266 words BEHIND. Ugh. I suck at this. But NanoWriMo is still awesome. Ya'll should check it out.

Yeah. Thats all I have to think about at this ridiculously late hour. Hopefully gunna rock the word count "tomorrow" (later today since its 4 in the morning) I will update this blog post at the end of the day tomorrow telling ya'll how I did. Maybe I'll feel more accountable and make myself write more than I normally would if I knew I had to report back here and tell ya'll that I did AMAZINGLY well. Yeah. Lets focus on that.

AMAZING clothes from DownEast Basics!
Okay so there is this store called DownEast Basics (visit them at www.downeastbasics.com they have some awesomly amazing clothes) and they have the cutest and most unique style that I have ever seen! I LOVE pretty much everything that comes through their store! And looking at their winter line (so far, we still have October, November and December to look forward to!) Look at these adorable pieces and oufits!
The top is the Whispering Pines Top in Frappe ($39.99), the denim is the Mr. DJ Jean ($42.99) (which, by the way, are pulling for one of my favorite pair of jeans of all time, topped ONLY by the Double Take Jean, also by DownEast Basics btdubs) jewelry is the Hammered Metal Bangles ($9.99) and the Bead Gaggle Necklace ($15.99) and the scarf is the Zebra Scarf ($10.99) :)
Okay second outfit, I am so in LOVE with this skirt, I want one in both colors (both pictured below) Its the Staggered Style Skirt ($39.99) and it is so snuggly looking and yet SO adorable and cute! What more could I ask for this winter? I envision this skirt worn with thick black tights and soft yarn boots, and then with either the Whispering Pines Top (Pictured above and the black going with the Sparrow (purple) skirt and the Frappe going with the Moonless Night skirt) OR with a half sleeve tee in Teal or Black ($13.99) (tucked in) and a SCARF maybe even the Indian Summer Scarf in Purple ($9.99) and then a black or grey overcoat. Oh its so adorable in my head... so when I get this outift (in the next couple of weeks or so I will DEFINITELY post some pictures here to show you guys :)
As far as individual pieces go, I love this skirt. Its called the Silver Lining Skirt ($36.99) and comes in Olive Night and Sequoia (Olive Night is pictured here)
and a personal FAVORITE of the jewelry section is the Silver Striker Necklace ($5.99) WHICH I have already purchased :)
Well that is it for now! Stay tuned for more of my favorites coming this winter and be sure to visit their website! www.downeastbasics.com

These are parts of actual conversations that I have had with an actual person that I believe will work very well on the world of online memeery. :)

Hello, Hello, Hello!
Okay, lots of stuff going on lately! I have been getting very crafty! Its very exciting! I am in the midst of two separate crafts, one is a couple of pillowcases and one is a quilt! They are coming along splendidly! The quilt is a surprise gift for a certain missionary serving in Honduras right now, its kind of designed specifically with him and myself in mind, kind of a mash up of a million different inside jokes and awesome into one fabric creation for when he returns with honor I am starting so early because I have no idea how long it will take me to get done and I am still in the planning and gathering stage 4 months in (yikes!) but its coming along and once I get everything finalized and all of my materials it shouldn't take me as long to actually get 'er done! The pillowcases have taken a sad back burner to the quilt because its so time consuming but I think I am going to take a break from the quilt to work on those today. Here are some pictures of the progress I've made on each! Enjoy :)
^ The pillowcase in progress
^ the quilt in progress! Both seem to be coming along, slowly but surely :)

You know youre from California when...
You go to a restaurant in the city and are surprised that they have tables an chairs that they leave outside and don't even chain them down! We went to dinner in this really great restaurant called the Greenlake Bar and Grill and it was delicious, we really enjoyed the whole place and the staff were really accommodating and friendly. Leah swears the waiter was flirting with me but I don't know about that. If he was that is very flattering and he was very nice nonetheless. Timothy entered the MTC today so I won't see him for two years. It's kind of funny though because on our way to downtown Seattle I found myself mentally picking out the outfit I would wear to go see him when he got back. Yeah, I miss that dude. Anyways, I'm writing letters for four different missionaries this week, Shiloh, Steven, Jared, and Timothy. Its a tough week on my postage intake, although I am down to a pack a day... Anyways, one of the toughest parts to deal with at the moment is that I have found that without Timothy there is a HUGE gap in my social life... I have no friends here in Washington yet and nobody back home from California talks to me on a regular basis. Sure I get the occasional polite text message it Facebook post but other than that I feel very unloved. Yes, I am scolding you here. I know they say never scold the reader but come on... In other news... Well, actually I don't have much other news at the moment... I'll have to get back to you another time. There should be news and pictures next weekend because we are moving into our new house next weekend! Yay!!! See you then!
